Firearms Training Courses

Our curriculum is meticulously designed to exceed state requirements, providing in-depth legal instruction on the use of force, hands-on firearm proficiency, and the critical judgment skills needed in real-world scenarios.

Maryland Wear and carry Certification course (Initial)

Attention:
All first-time applicants are required to complete the Maryland Wear and Carry Permit Initial Certification Course before receiving their permit. This 16-hour, in-person course is conducted over two days and provides the essential training and knowledge needed to obtain a Wear and Carry Permit in the state of Maryland.
W&C Certification Course:
Day 1 initial course will be on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:00AM-4:00PM. The class is in-person only. Firearms and weapons of any kind are prohibited in the classroom. Please bring a valid form of identification.

Cancellations must be made at least three hours before the scheduled class time to be eligible for a refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than three hours before the class. If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible to make arrangements.
Complete the first day of training required to apply for your Maryland Wear and Carry Permit. Day One covers legal instruction and firearm safety, and completion of this course also includes the Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL).
Maryland HQL Certification course
Learn the fundamentals of handgun safety, Maryland firearm laws, and complete the live-fire requirement to qualify for your Handgun Qualification License (HQL).

Maryland wear and carry renewal

All individuals applying for a Maryland Handgun Permit renewal must complete the required renewal training course. This refresher course ensures that permit holders remain up to date with Maryland’s firearm laws, safe handling practices, and qualification standards necessary to maintain a valid permit.

All individuals seeking Handcuffing Certification must complete the required training course. This certification course ensures that participants are knowledgeable about Maryland’s use-of-force and restraint laws, understand safe and proper handcuffing techniques (including positioning, monitoring, and risk mitigation), and meet the qualification standards necessary to become certified to apply restraints responsibly and lawfully.
Initial Renewal Certification Course:

This course provides the essential training required by Maryland for the safe, lawful use of handcuffs and restraints — covering legal authority and limits, officer safety and positioning, proper cuffing techniques, searches and transports, and medical/positional-asphyxia awareness.

This certification course ensures that participants are knowledgeable about Maryland’s self-defense and use-of-force laws, understand safe handling and deployment techniques, and meet the qualification standards necessary to become certified to carry and use OC spray responsibly.
