FounderSedgwick Davis is a security professional with 16 years in the private security industry. He holds an associate’s degree in business management and a certification in Security Supervision Management. Sedgwick’s background includes providing executive protection for foreign embassies, providing personal protection for network production teams, and performing as an armed protective officer throughout communities in the Baltimore area. Sedgwick is also co-founder of Myles Davis Protective Services.. In 2024, Sedgwick founded Practical Toter Training Academy to further advance the MDPS protective officers and other security professionals in the DMV area.

Firearms InstructorMike Brown is a U.S. Airforce veteran who landed in Washington by way of Andrews Air Force Base, where he was assigned to a Special Duty Presidential Support Unit.
After being honorably discharged, Mike attended and graduated from the Prince George’s County Municipal Police Academy. Mike received his first instructor certification as a firearms instructor from the Maryland State Police. As a trainer, Mike created numerous law enforcement related courses such as RADAR, Court Testimony, Crime Scene Investigation, Interview and Interrogation, to name a few.
Mike is currently the Executive Director of the Small and Rural Law Enforcement Executives' Association (SRLEEA).

Drawing on his military experience, he now serves as a certified firearms instructor, dedicated to providing safe, effective, and confidence-building training for shooters of all skill levels..
